Read. Scan. Experience.

How the Visual Scripture Series puts the film scene one tap away from the verse you just read.

Every book in the Visual Scripture Series pairs the full text of a Gospel with photography from the Lumo Project films. Open to a passage and the scene is there on the page: the faces, the dust, the light over Galilee.

Reading still comes first. The words are set to be read, not skimmed, with room around them. The pictures sit beside the text instead of on top of it, so they help you see the story without pulling you out of it.

Then there is the scan. The film scene is one tap away from the verse you just read, the same moment, now moving. A minute later you are back on the page.

Read it, see it, read it again. That is the whole idea.
