Global voices at the center
The future of the Church is global. Leaders in the Majority World, diaspora communities and emerging generations are not supplemental perspectives here. They are central to what Christian leadership becomes next.
About SPERO
SPERO is a publishing imprint of OneHope, built for formation rather than consumption. Every title is an entry point: into Scripture, into leadership, and into the life of the local church.

Spero.
Latin · first person · "I hope"
Spero is a verb. Someone, in the present tense, choosing hope on purpose. That is the posture behind everything we publish, and it is why the tagline reads less like a slogan and more like a job description. Hope for the world.
SPERO deepens Scripture engagement.
SPERO strengthens the global Church.
SPERO embodies hope for the world.
Books become entry points into discipleship and mission, extending far beyond the printed page. Every SPERO title is designed as the first stop on a longer road, with the rest of the road built alongside it.
The book itself. Made to be read slowly, marked up, and handed on.
Guided reading that carries you from the chapter into the passages it points to.
The same story in the formats people already live in. Read, scan, experience.
Practical material so a leader can teach on Sunday what they read on Tuesday.
Pathways for a congregation to move together, not one reader at a time.
The model every SPERO title is designed into. Not every stop exists for every book yet; the road is built as the list grows.
Three commitments anchor everything on the list. They keep it rooted in orthodoxy, aimed at formation, and lined up with mission.
Christocentric.
Jesus Christ is the center of everything we publish, and the lens through which Scripture, leadership and mission are understood.
Cruciform.
The life we commend is shaped by the Cross: humility, obedience and sacrificial love rather than cultural triumphalism.
Spirit-empowered.
Transformation and mission happen through the active work of the Holy Spirit, who cultivates dependence, courage and resilience.
Less about what we publish than how it is sourced, distributed and put to work.
The future of the Church is global. Leaders in the Majority World, diaspora communities and emerging generations are not supplemental perspectives here. They are central to what Christian leadership becomes next.
Through partnerships and multi-format delivery, content is designed to travel across languages and cultures and still land where it arrives.
Every resource is developed with the downstream in mind: discipleship pathways, ministry activation, Scripture engagement at scale. Content is not the endpoint; it is the catalyst for action.
Authors, ministry leaders and readers stay connected long after publication, so a title keeps working instead of being read once and shelved.
Our values are not aspirational statements. They function as decision filters that shape every part of the publishing process.
We discern projects through prayer and alignment with God's direction, not market trends alone.
We prioritize content that advances Scripture engagement and discipleship.
We partner only with voices that reflect theological soundness and ethical credibility.
Our content serves real needs with pastoral sensitivity and cultural awareness.
We measure success by transformation, not just distribution.
We use emerging platforms and formats to expand reach.
We put partnership over platform to maximize Kingdom impact.
We structure access to reach under-resourced communities.
We intentionally develop and amplify global and emerging voices.
OneHope was founded by Bob Hoskins, who was preaching at seven and has spent eight decades carrying God's Word into places it was not welcome. Today the ministry has put Scripture in the hands of more than two billion children.
SPERO is what happens when that family decides to publish: the same conviction, applied to the printed page and to everything a page can open.
Every purchase helps put God's Word in a child's hands through OneHope's free distribution.
SPERO is built to give back as it grows. Once the imprint is sustainable, a share of net revenue is directed toward Scripture engagement in under-resourced communities, with priorities set alongside OneHope's leadership.Reading is the first one. It was never meant to be the only one.
Resources and Publish With Us are the next pages in the build.
